Vase „Incalmo a scavo“ ca. 1950
Hergestellt bei Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, Murano-Italien. Mehrschichtig aufgebautes Vasenobjekt in beidseitig abgeflachter Kalabassenform. Vasenoberteil aus transparent-orangerotem Glas, opak-weiß unterfangenen, versetzt verschmolzen mit dem unterem Teil der Vase aus transparent-umbrafarbenem Glas. Die Oberfläche ist in der für Barbini typischen a Scavo-Technik grau patiniert. Vasenmündung und Vasenboden geschliffen und poliert.
Bezeichnet mit dem Inventaretikett der Firma Pauly & C., Venedig.

Alfredo Barbini, expressive “Incalmo Scavo” vase c. 1950. Executed by Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, Murano-Italy. Calabash shaped and twisted body. Upper part made of transparent orange-red tinted glass with opaque white inside layer, fused on the lower part made of transparent smoked-brown tinted glass, in so called „incalmo“-technique. Surface in the typical Barbini „scavo“-technique greyish-white patinated. Vases mouth rim and underside grinded and polished.
This piece comes directly from the sample room-pattern collection of the company Pauly & C. Venice (C.V.M.).
