Hergestellt bei Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici, Murano-Italien. Hohl geblasene einzeln zusammengesetzte, smaragdgrün gefärbte Glas-Körperteile mit reichlich fein zersprengter Goldfolie. Geschliffene und polierte Standflächen.
Ein Fragment des Herstelleretikettes befindet sich unter dem rechten Vorderfuß.

Napoleone Martinuzzi, déco sculpture of an Elephant c. 1933. Executed by Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici, Murano-Italy. Made of hollow blown, encased emerald-green tinted glass with all around fused gold foil inclusions.
A fragment of the manufacturers label under the foot.
In excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or repairs.

Notice: The engineer Francesco Zecchin and the sculptor Napoleone Martinuzzi cancel their cooperation with glass manufacture Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & C. in 1931, where Napoleone Martinuzzi had held the art director position until 1926 and founded their own firm, Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici in 1932. The glass manufacture Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici present at the Biennali in Venice a series of vases, plants and figures in 1932 and 1934 , the mostly objects was executed by the maestros Alfredo Barbini and Otello Nason. Owing to a high number of financial difficulties closed the firm in 1936.
