Hergestellt bei Laboratorio d’Arte Musiva Salviati dott. Antonio fu Bartolomeo, Murano-Italien ca. 1859-1866. Opakes, leicht blasiges Glass mit achatartiger Äderung in violetten Farbtönen, welche durch die chemische Reaktion zugesetzter Metalloxide während des Herstellungsprozesses entsteht.
Aus der Mustersammlung der C.V.M., Pauly & C., Venedig.
Bezeichnet mit dem alten Firmen-Eetikett der Manufaktur Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici (Venezia Murano C.).

Marked with the old label of the manufacture Zecchin-Martinuzzi Vetri Artistici e Mosaici (Venezia Murano C).
In excellent condition no chips, crack or repairs.

Notice: the chalcedony glass is a particular decorative type of glass, this is the result of adding a mix of iron oxide, tin oxide, silver and other colory metals in to the glass melt before it is processed. The result is an imitating of a semi-precious stones such as the lapis lazuli, the chalcedony, the jasper, the malachite, the agate and the onyx. Lorenzo Radi invented the chalcedony glass of Antonio Salviati in Murano between 1861 and 1866.
